Daily Living, as it's affectionately called, is a company based on the belief that you deserve friendly, one on one personal care, based on your needs. We provide only the services or care you need based on your assessment and/or care team approval. We provide assistance only in the areas necessary and step back when you've got everything under control.
Daily Living believes you should be as independent as you are able to be without other people taking those choices away from you. To feel secure in knowing that if you need it, help is there. Feeling comfortable living at home as long as possible is most important. Why should you move and pay more, when you already have a home paid for, is safe, and has all the amenities you need? Or parking available for friends, family and caregivers, as well as neighbors you know as well as access to the shops and businesses you use frequently.
Daily Living has a mission to see that all of these comforts are met and continue to be there for you for as long as you require them. We want your families to feel secure knowing you are getting the help you need when you need it, and know and trust that if they are not able to be there, that a reliable, certified helper is there for you in their place. The Independent Caregivers contracted by Daily Living can provide a criminal record check, have first aid training, and are knowledgeable in the areas of personal care, housekeeping, companion care, recreation therapy, household maintenance needs, meal preparation, doctors and appointment procedures, transportation options, and childcare.
Daily Living transportation provides extended vehicle insurance and a caregiver with you for the duration of your appointment as a companion. lf you are ok on your own, you may request a drop off and pick up time. Daily Living schedules according to the length of your appointment therefore, the caregivers are your attendant from beginning to end of your appointment.
It is the policy of Daily Living to provide each client with a minimum of 2 care providers. This is a consistent practice so the client has care provided as needed and for the caregivers to be able to count on each other if a schedule change is in order e.g. illness or emergency.
Every client has access to the main contact number at all times and often the second caregiver will provide a contact number as well. Your call will be answered within 24 hours. Other contact methods are e-mail and text messaging.
